Community Resources

Are you concerned about your child‘s behavior, attitude or emotional state? If so, you might be interested in seeking support. A good place to start is by speaking with your child‘s pediatrician, school counselor or nurse. However, we would also like to provide you with a list of trusted local health and safety resources. If your child needs support, especially over the summer when school personnel are not available, local agencies provide a great deal of expertise.

In addition to the above agencies, a Children‘s Mental Health Resource Guide For Cape Cod (Third Edition – 2010) was compiled by the Sandwich Partnership for Families with the generous support of a Cape Cod Healthcare Impact Mini Grant. This resource guide was assembled in an effort to assist Cape Cod families in finding the right kind of mental health support for their children. The guide features psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors and social workers who have been trained or have expertise in working with children. Please note: this site does NOT provide an exhaustive list of practitioners on the Cape, nor does it endorse any particular practitioner.
